Okay, so I have a confession to make--I just love scrappy. You cannot achieve this look any other way than mixing an eclectic mix of fabrics. It has it's own kind of beauty. I had some orphan Log Cabin blocks--I needed a bridal gift and this table runner was born. I think I'm in love with it and for me it is hard to part with, however, I hope the recipient loves it too....

I love the log cabin quilts. I think that it looks very nice. They are one of my very favorite designs and I love to make the blocks.

I, too, fall in love with gift quilts where I felt inspired as I made/quilted them. And I have to make sure that the gift goes where it was intended as I can hear "keep it" rolling around in my head. LOL
very pretty! I love scrappy too - it just feels so vintagey and homey and comforting somehow.
It's great when a quilter can create something great from stash she has!
